With the football event just around the corner, as a participating company you will want to use this unique opportunity to brand your company to the world. The Whisper Boat Building Academy for the deaf offers you a unique opportunity to brand your trade name as an innovative, social responsible and eco sensitive company. For the event we have developed an advanced and innovative way to promote your brand. The “Floating Soccer Balls” consist of a half floating and closable soccer ball that can seat 6 to 8 people. The boats are powered by the latest German technology development on electrical motors, Torqeedo outboard motors. The battery used for these motor will be charged by solar energy on a shore station making these boats the most eco-friendly powered boats in South Africa . Additional features can include DVD players to play your promotional features, a beer tap, a wine cooler etc… The “Floating Soccer Balls” built by our deaf students will be skippered by the disadvantaged youth of the Izuvunguvungu sailing trust known as the “seed school” for the Americas’ cup project Shosholoza. A large fleet of passenger liners and super- and mega yachts are expected at the waterfront during the June/July 2010 and boat transport and tender services will need to be arranged in order to accommodate these visitors. A huge hype and myriad of activities is expected around the waterfront so that public exposure and awareness is guaranteed. The model can of course be duplicated in Port Elizabeth and Durban.
